Volunteers would help transform outdoor spaces used by the mothers and children we serve through:
• Creating an outdoor mural with our Child Care Center students — leaving a lasting piece of the Caw to Action project behind
• Creating a sensory garden — a hands-on learning space for our youngest students, especially helpful for children with special needs
• Sanding, painting & power washing playground equipment — giving well-loved equipment a fresh start
• Planting spring bulbs — adding color our families can look forward to in the spring
• Weeding and laying fresh mulch throughout playground and garden areas
• Campus leaf & litter cleanup
About St. Ann’s Center Founded in 1860, St. Ann’s Center has served women, children, and families in the greater Washington region for more than 165 years. Today, St. Ann’s Center provides housing and coordinated, whole-family support for pregnant and parenting young women and their children experiencing homelessness or housing instability, as well as nurturing child care for resident and community families. Our mission is to help mothers and children move toward stability and independence through safe and supportive housing, child care, education and employment support, clinical and social work services, and a community grounded in dignity and respect.
