Best known for providing essential home furnishings, our work extends far beyond furniture.  We equip job seekers with professional attire, provide career coaching to support long-term employment, and operate our Ward 8 Hub in Southeast Washington, DC - a community centered space offering programs and resources designed to create lasting impact.

IMPACTdmv will transform Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School into the IMPACT Career Combine: an NFL-style career readiness event where volunteers run four hands-on skill drills with 150 high school scholars who earned their place through a competitive application. Volunteers cheer the class in, coach scholars through handshake, interview, personal branding, and comeback-from-setback drills, sign the cards those scholars earn at Signing Day, and close the morning by filling two Ravens-painted career lockers with handwritten advice that stays at the school all year. IMPACTdmv supplies all materials, curriculum, and a 15-person crew handling every logistic, so volunteers spend their entire four hours working directly with students.
