During Tax Season, volunteers assist the 211 team to set free tax preparation appointments for eligible Marylanders, and provide tax resources and information.  Volunteers also follow up with callers to learn outcomes, and connect callers to Community Resource Specialists if more assistance is needed.

Paul's Place Site is CLOSED on January 19th. Paul's Place would love for a group to make up 200 PB&J sandwiches/bagged lunches for our agency. Then be dropped off on Tuesday January 20th anytime between 8am-3:30pm.

Volunteers provide non-emergency assistance to Carroll County residents, 60+ years of age. Assistance includes local transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores. Volunteers use personal vehicles. Run errands. Social phone calls. Friendly visits. Meal and grocery assistance. Volunteer opportunities are dependent upon requests received and are posted on online calendar. Volunteers need to attend a one-hour orientation and are background checked.

We’re seeking compassionate, reliable volunteers to help connect moms and babies with essential supplies and support. Training provided + flexible hours:

1) Administrative Outreach Volunteer What you’ll do • Call, text, and email families to introduce services and confirm needs • Document needs in our tracking sheet/CRM and route to the right team • Follow up after deliveries to ensure items were received and note any new needs Ideal skills: Clear communicator, comfortable on the phone, organized, basic Google/Microsoft tools. Time: 2–4 hrs./week, remote-friendly (some daytime availability preferred).

2) Intake & Scheduling Volunteer What you’ll do • Receive item requests (form, phone, email, social DMs) and verify eligibility/location • Build item lists from our supply bank inventory • Coordinate pickup or delivery windows with families and drivers; confirm addresses and special instructions Ideal skills: Detail-oriented, strong scheduling/coordination, respectful and patient. Time: 2–4 hrs./week, remote-friendly with occasional on-site hours.

3) Delivery Driver (Supply Courier) What you’ll do • Pick up pre-packed items (diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, etc.) from our storage site • Deliver to households following safe-hand-off protocols; obtain simple proof of delivery • Report any follow-up needs to the team Ideal skills: Reliable transportation, punctual, courteous. Time: 1–3 hr routes; weekdays or Saturdays. Mileage log encouraged; PPE and door-drop guidance provided. (Volunteers needed (Monday - Friday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

The Franciscan Center is a community resource dedicated to providing meals, clothing, and supportive services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and hardship in Baltimore. Our mission is to nourish both body and spirit while fostering dignity and hope.
We need volunteers to help us prepare for the holidays! Under the guidance of our amazing chefs, volunteers will assist with the building and prep of 500 breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for the city’s homeless shelters.
You’ll work alongside our staff and fellow volunteers in our newly renovated dining room space, making a real difference for those who need it most.

Please: We ask that you arrive promptly at 11:45am for a quick summary orientation.  We start our assignment promptly at 12pm.

⭐Important: We do have lockers to secure your belongings, however you must bring your own lock, but it is recommended that you NOT bring personal items with you. 

Volunteers help us tremendously by taking dogs out for their first walks of the day, exercising and socializing with them. Typically, this is rain or shine unless it’s really bad weather!

-Make sure to wear close-toed shoes and long pants. It’s recommended to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Old shoes or boots are great!

-Bring a signed waiver with you (we will email you a waiver )

-Finding us: Type in 3300 Falls Road to your GPS. We are located between Roosevelt Park, and the i-83 south on-ramp. When you arrive, park in the parking lot and walk down to the building labeled “Adoptions”. We will be there  waiting for you!

-Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks that day. We will provide all dog walking supplies.

-Expect some excitable dogs. The morning walk is their first walk of the day. It's their time to get out, play, stretch their legs, use the bathroom, and then eat their breakfast when they come back in! They are excited to meet  you and have all the fun!

-We will reach out to your group 1 week prior to your scheduled volunteer date to get a headcount for volunteers for the day. Please note: If you have a dog walking project scheduled, we must have 8-10 volunteers. Join South Baltimore Community Land Trust this MLK Day for a hands-on service event that honors Dr. King’s legacy and the sanitation workers whose fight for dignity helped spark today’s environmental justice movement. Volunteers will assemble vital community science kits that empower South Baltimore youth and residents to lead Community Owned and Managed Research—advancing healthier homes, cleaner air, and a just future for one of Maryland’s most overburdened communities.

-Street parking is available near the meeting location.

-We will be conducting the service work in doors in a heated building so dress comfortably.

-Participants will make use of basic equipment to assemble the kits (scissors and tape) ...no special skills or experience is needed.

-No special requirements for volunteers other than an interest in helping out with housing and environmental justice through a hands on activity!

-Participants will be given several opportunities to continue their involvement after the day of service - but they will make a significant contribution to the mission the day of.

Volunteers should wear work clothes, bring a packed lunch, and come ready to serve, as a variety of projects will be available. Children ages 16 and older are welcome. Parking is available in the lot next to The Well, though street parking may be easier to access.

Greenhouse Cleanup & Seed-Starting Prep Volunteers will help clean and organize our greenhouse, clear out old plant material, refresh work areas, and prepare trays and supplies for the upcoming seed-starting season. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm to support local growing efforts and help cultivate a healthier, greener community.

Please dress in layers, as you will be moving in and out of the greenhouse, and comfortable footwear. We have water for refillable water bottles, and feel free to bring snacks to share! We will supply work gloves.

Mom and Baby Supply Drive & Giveaway we are collecting items as well as providing essential supplies for mothers and families

Wear comfortable clothes bring jacket and gloves as we will be collecting items outside and giving away items indoors. We can accept kids older like 8+ as helpers!

901 Arts is a community-based youth arts center dedicated to providing art and music programs to the children and teens of the Better Waverly neighborhood. Over the 20 years of operation our building has sustained a lot of damage.
A new coat of paint in our art room will revitalize the space and bring in many more years of joy to the community!

Please dress in clothes that can get messy and comfortable shoes! Coveralls and glasses will be provided if necessary!

Volunteer Opportunity at The Center @ 1500 – Sandtown

F4TCOS has been conducting an annual MLK Day of Service for the last three years in the Brooklyn Park Community.  This is a community considered a food desert, and therefore, F4TCOS attempts to provide full service support to the community.  Currently, we are looking at doing "Chilly and Books." We will be serving hot chili and providing books to youth.  In addition, we will provide coats and shoes (Operation Warm), and most likely produce, and household items.

Currently, we are slated to serve outside on the schools lower parking lot.  However, depending on the weather, we will have access to set everything up inside of the school.  If we are outside, then dress warm for the weather. Parking is located in the upper parking lot, lower parking lot, and on the street. We will be still accepting donations of coats (kids and adults) -New and gently used, hats, gloves and scarfs. Any type of household cleaning supplies are also welcomed. Park Elementary School is located right next to Brooklyn Park Library in Anne Arundel County.

Would like to have volunteers assist adults with disabilities in making blankets for the homeless, and spend one hour playing bingo with special needs adults.

We will be assembling laundry pod packs and period product packs, both of which address essential basic needs for students. By ensuring access to clean clothing and necessary hygiene items, these packs help students feel confident and prepared, allowing them to arrive at school ready to learn and fully participate in their education.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Parking is available anywhere in the lot. Please enter through the front doors, sign in with the front desk attendant, and take the elevators to the lower level. The Student Support Network is located in Suite LL22.

The Westminster Rescue Mission is a community that provides clinical, physical, and spiritual resources to heal the addicted and feed the hungry. We take a holistic approach with Christ as the foundation of our work.

Volunteers would be assisting in preparing meals with our cook for our Addiction Healing Center. Our Addiction Healing Center houses men in recovery from substance addiction. Volunteers for this opportunity should dress in layers as they will be working in a commercial kitchen and may be asked to walk into refrigerated or warm spaces. Volunteers with any cooking experience preferred. Volunteers will be asked to be on their feet.

Package meal kits for Harford County residents who receive assistance from the Harford County Action Agency. 

Honor Dr. King’s legacy through community service and environmental stewardship at CEI's Green Farmacy Garden. Participants will spend the day removing invasive plant species to help protect native medicinal plants, restore ecological balance, and support the health of this unique botanical sanctuary.

Please dress for outside work. Gloves will be provided.

A community Technology Drive collecting cameras, tablets, laptops, and creative tools to support youth, seniors, and mental-health storytelling programs through The Eudaimonia Project Inc.

Volunteers will help collect, sort, and organize donated technology—including laptops, tablets, smartphones, cameras, drawing tablets, and accessories—for distribution to youth, senior citizens, and community members participating in mental-health storytelling and digital-creativity programs. Comfortable clothing is recommended. All materials and instructions will be provided. Free parking is available in the main lot at the Maryland Innovation Center; volunteers should enter through the third-floor lobby. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in and orientation. No prior tech experience is required—just a willingness to serve and help empower our community.
